Our Doctors

Dr. Lisa Goldman, VMD

Michael Robinson, DVM
Dr. Robinson has three children; Gene and Hannah (twins) and their older brother Dan. He and his wife, Arleth, share their home with a rescued Dachshund, “Cassie.” In his free time he enjoys jogging, backpacking, hiking in NH and ME, skiing, playing guitar, and taking motorcycle rides through the countryside.

Meryl Kardon, VMD
Dr. Kardon loves interacting with people and their pets to keep them as healthy and comfortable as they can be. She enjoys working on challenging dermatology cases and doing surgery.
Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Kardon has been in New England for over 30 years and considers herself a true New Englander now! She lives in Rhode Island with her husband, Geoffrey (also a veterinarian) and her recently adopted hound mix “Bonnie.” In her leisure time, she keeps active biking, hiking with “Bonnie”, cross-country skiing, playing tennis, and kayaking. She also enjoys spending time with her adult sons, Zack, a musician, and Adam, a “people” doctor. Her most recent passion is beekeeping – she finds their habits fascinating and their honey delicious!

Monica Mansfield, DVM
Dr. Monica Mansfield is originally from Maryland. She attended Virginia Tech for her undergraduate training and graduated from Cornell University’s New York State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. After graduation she practiced in New Hampshire for several years, both in the NH hills and on the seacoast, then in central Massachusetts for twelve years before joining Medway Animal Hospital in early 2005. Dr. Mansfield is passionate about helping animals feel better and feel loved at the same time and she works hard to honor the bond between families and their pets. Through good communication and education, Dr. Mansfield empowers pet owners to be part of their pets’ medical care. Her well-honed medical skills combine with her naturally gentle manner to make her the perfect partner for your pets’ care.
She and her husband (also a veterinarian) have two boys: one is a graduate student in astrophysics and the other is following in his parents’ footsteps and applying for veterinary school soon! They share their home with two cats, “Ned” and “Ed,” and a playful pug-chihuahua mix, named “Liza.” In addition to her passion for helping animals, Dr. Mansfield loves photography and music. When not at work she can be found playing her guitar, hosting music concerts, interviewing famous musicians for the TV show “Mostly Rock n Roll” that she produces, traveling around the country photographing concerts, and occasionally running half-marathons.
Dr. Mansfield is the author of a memoir, The Black Panties: Tales of Animal Mischief and Veterinary Intrigue, a collection of stories from her first year in practice. She has also published a children’s book about pet loss called When You Have To Say Goodbye: Loving & Letting Go Of Your Pet. She has served on the executive board and public relations committee for the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association for several years.

Jessica Marshall Roberts, DVM
Dr. Jessica Marshall Roberts graduated from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. After graduation, she completed a rotating internship in emergency/critical care, surgery, and internal medicine at Tufts VETS, a busy emergency and specialty hospital, in Walpole, MA. Upon completion of her internship, Dr. Roberts worked for 11 years as a small animal general practitioner in both private and corporate practices, before joining the team at Medway Animal Hospital.
Dr. Roberts’ professional interests include anesthesia, internal medicine, and diagnostic imaging. She also thoroughly enjoys developing close relationships with her clients and working together as a team to deliver high-quality medical care for her patients.
When not working, Dr. Roberts enjoys spending time with her family. Most of their free time is spent in New Hampshire where both her sons and husband competitively race go-karts. She also enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and cooking.

Nicole Govoni, DVM
Outside of work, Dr. Govoni enjoys spending time with family and friends. She particularly enjoys any outdoor activity with her husband, two children, and Pit Bull Terrier Lyla and suspects her four-legged family will continue to grow as her young children get older.

Dr. Olsen then changed careers, completing her veterinary studies at Colorado State University in 1988. She initially practiced in Framingham and Foxboro before joining the Medway Animal Hospital. As a practitioner, Dr. Olsen has a special interest in internal medicine and geriatric care.
She and her husband, Bob built their log cabin home where they live with their five cats: Izzy, Romeo, Freddie, Scats, and Haiku. When not working, Dr. Olsen enjoys cooking, gardening, aerobics, camping, boating, and travel.
